Introduction

A lot of the erotica that comes across my desk focuses on the spark of attraction when strangers meet, the cataclysmic sensation of falling, hard, for someone new and exciting. That makes sense, because there’s built-in drama and erotic tension when two people discover there’s intense chemistry between them. With this anthology, though, I wanted to explore what happens after that, once those people have been together a while (even a short while). I wanted to see what sparks fictional couples could produce on the page, and the results are, well, scorching.

The couples in this book explore all sorts of exciting sexual possibilities, and one of the main reasons they’re able to open up in the ways they do is precisely because they have another person to rely on, coax them, challenge them, tease them and seduce them into traveling down a new sexual path. Whether that means outdoor sex, kink, a trip to a strip club or a very sensual massage, we get to see the ways the layers of trust that have been built up get used to stoke the fire that burns between them.

In addition to enjoying naughty, wild adventures, the couples here also work out differences between one another and handle issues like infidelity in ways that ultimately strengthen, rather than destroy, their relationships' longevity. In Cole Riley’s “Same As It Ever Was,” Joanne suspects her husband of cheating, but with a little help from her best friend, manages to recapture the sensual spirit and passion that’s been missing as both husband and wife make amends and move on, knowing what it was they almost lost. Rekindling a romance that’s threatened to go stale is also the theme of “Renewal” by Delilah Night, where she writes, “That touch sent a long-missing ripple through my body. I hesitated, hoping he’d remember what I love.”

In “The Pact” by Elizabeth Coldwell, a woman rediscovers a man she’d once passed over, only to find that the years they’ve spent apart have made him someone she’s sorry she overlooked. How a couple deals with a death in the family, as well as religious tradition, is the subject of “The Mitzvah” by Tiffany Reisz, as Grace and Zachary find that embracing desire can be healing. Kris Adams takes us into an African village and some complicated relationship dynamics, along with a lot of voyeurism, in “Six Eyes, Two Ears.” Kay Jaybee takes a common fantasy, that of a man watching two women make love, and breathes new life into it by showing both halves of a couple as they live out this dream.

Individual characters work through their own issues with the help of their partners, getting support, love and, of course, very hot sex. “Repaint the Night,” by Janine Ashbless, is about public sex, but, even more, a woman who is conquering a fear of the dark after being mugged ten years before. The erotic power of that story is heightened by Leah’s awe at being able to enjoy what she and Callum are sharing, as she recovers a part of herself she lost and deepens the level of trust between them.

For those who likes things a bit spicier, there’s "The Netherlands” by Justine Elyot, in which a nude Loveday serves guests tea and takes orders, while fulfilling a longtime fantasy of being “used,” with her true love there to watch.

Make no mistake: though these are stories about couples, they are not light or fluffy. They are full of joy, lust and kink, as well as realistic elements of mistrust, uncertainty and confusion, which the couples work through in ways that don’t gloss over or ignore their differences.

These couples, however long they’ve been a team, push the envelope by pushing themselves to try something new, even when they’re not sure where it will lead them. They go to those exotic, erotic places, to those recurring fantasies, because they know they have someone who will travel there with them. I hope this book will inspire nighttime reading--out loud--and erotic adventures, as well as conversations that have been bubbling under the surface, waiting to be exposed, just like the fantasies in the tales you’re about to read.

The concert that night was nothing compared to the sex.

Anthony’s hands were everywhere. He played me like a fine guitar, finding all the chords to strike deep within my most forbidden places. On my hands and knees, I braced myself on the rumpled bed. He slipped deep and I hissed in a breath of satisfaction.

“Is this what you want?” he moaned.

“For now.”

The motion was steady and unbroken. We were both dead tired, but that didn’t seem to matter. Nothing seemed to matter, not even when his cell phone rang from somewhere on the nightstand. My fingers searched the polished top until I found it. Feeling entirely inappropriate and loving every second of it, I flipped the phone open and handed it to him.

“Yes…yes, I’m here in the hotel room…”

It was his wife.

I bit my lip and thrust back hard. I was determined that he would not forget who he was fucking, who had got him here, who had led the way to that recording contract he would sign in a few days. I swivelled my hips, reminding him who was really fucking whom. My lack of shame would bother me later, but right now I was too far gone with illicit pleasure to care.

“I miss you too, honey…”

He dipped one finger into the cleft of my ass. I pushed my hips up, inviting.

“No…no, I’m not sure…”

He thrust harder, and I reached under us to touch his balls. He struggled to control his breathing. He pinched my hip viciously, as if to warn me against acts that were far too indecent to carry on during a phone conversation. I squeezed with my inner muscles hard enough to make him stifle a moan.

Anthony slipped out of me. He pressed hard against the tighter hole, the one that he hadn’t sampled yet. I pushed back and felt the delightful sting as my body began to open under his. I swivelled my hips, trying to make it easier.

“The show was great. Lots of fans…the place was packed…”

He held perfectly still. I thrust back slowly. I would pay for my little ingenuity in the morning, but I didn’t give a damn. I wanted to be as dirty and naughty as I could be while his wife listened to what she didn’t know was happening. If I had stopped to think about it, I might have been appalled by my actions.

Lucky for me, I was too busy fucking to think.

I thrust back harder, and Anthony’s cock slowly impaled me. I opened under the pressure with a burn and a moan. Anthony quickly covered my mouth.

“I’ll call you in the morning, honey…”

We suddenly found the right angle, the perfect fit. He slid all the way home, his balls pressing hard against me, every inch of my body throbbing with heat.

“I love you, too,” Anthony said to the Mrs Keenan as he began to move back and forth in earnest. He said goodbye, hung up the phone and tossed it to the floor. He grabbed a handful of my hair and thrust hard. Pain and pleasure shot through every pore of my body.

“Who’s doing the fucking now?” he growled in my ear.

I looked over at the mirror on the wall. I watched everything—our bodies, his thrusts, and my own face, flushed and wild with passion. I watched as he pushed my shoulders down on the bed, the better for my fingers to reach beneath me.

“Touch yourself. Make yourself come when I do,” Anthony demanded. I found my clit and began to play myself with the rhythm of his thrusts. The orgasm built from somewhere so deep it was almost frightening. I watched in the mirror until the pleasure of it made my eyes heavy, and I cried out into the comforter as I came.

Anthony followed right behind me, emptying himself with a harsh groan. For long moments there was no sound in the room, save our unsteady breathing.

He slid out of me. I collapsed onto the bed, exhausted.

I slowly climbed off the bed. Anthony came with me, one hand on my belly to make sure I didn’t fall. My shaky legs came through admirably, and I wobbled towards the bathroom. Anthony watched me as I stepped into the shower.

“Is adultery illegal or just immoral?” he asked.

“It depends on how good your divorce attorney is.”

The books are related. The protagonist in Broken is the antagonist in Shattered. Shattered was inspired by someone I knew who suffered abuse similar to what's depicted in the novel. When I tried to imagine how anyone could perpetuate such horrific torture on another human being, in a desperate attempt not to write a one-dimensional villain, I ended up with another book, Broken.

While knowing first hand that what Zachary suffered in Shattered was all too close to the truth, I asked a friend, who had studied for his doctorate in psychology, to read the books. I found it disconcerting that he thought Broken very believable, given his own experience.

These are not romances. They're cautionary tales about abuse and the meaning of consent. You may find them arousing, or you may find them revolting. But, I hope you will at least find them thought provoking.

Mary Miller breathed deeply of the fresh salty air as she sat on the beach and watched Mother Nature do her thing. She didn’t know when it happened, but at some point the beach had become an example of what she wanted out of life. No sharp edges or harsh points to cause pain throughout a unique journey.

The peacefulness of the beach at dawn eased into her pores and pushed out the tension. A slight breeze carried ocean spray to her uplifted face. There was only one blotch on her otherwise wonderful life. Mike Kane, the man she loved and had broken up with before he eventually walked out on her. They were great together and she’d wanted forever with him, except she knew they wouldn’t last that long. Leaving before she was left had been her solution for self-preservation. Unfortunately, she’d handled it all wrong and had only herself to blame.

Sipping her coffee, she watched a surfer ride a wave in with a variety of moves, before turning back over the crest and heading out for more. Maybe it was relaxing on the beach or watching surfers tackle the waves, but he was there in her head. She needed to figure out what to do next. “Hey,” the casual one word greeting startled her, but it was a large board and paddle dropping to the sand that made her jump. She looked up to see the man she’d been thinking about sit at her side. Encased in a full wetsuit, he rested his arms on bent knees as he checked out the waves.

Mary hadn’t a clue what to say or do to ease the tension between them. They’d been friends as kids, sweethearts in high school and finally lovers as adults. She didn’t want to lose him, but needed to think about what was best for her mental state.

Knowing an apology was necessary and actually giving one were two different things. She had no idea where to start, but knew simply saying sorry wouldn’t be nearly enough. Sammy checked Jean’s vitals carefully and nodded, comfortable in the knowledge she was no worse, for the time being. He straightened the covers, tucking them in under her armpits and running his hand over the blanket. He sat on the chair at her bedside and laid his fingers over hers, paying attention to avoid moving the IV in the back of her hand.

“How are you tonight, Jean?” he asked softly.

She shifted her body and opened her eyes. Eyes that appeared too bright, too focussed.
“I’m okay. They gave me some drops a little while ago. Everything feels dull. Like I’m not really here.” She licked her lips.

“That’d be morphine, hon.” He reached for the glass on her bedside table and offered the straw to her. “Want some water?” He sniffed at the clear liquid and added, “Yup, water. You’d think they could add a shot of vodka or something.”

Jean smiled, a weak, wispy thing that quickly faded when Sammy helped her take the straw. Her sucking sounded loud. When she finished, the glass was empty. “Vodka might go nice about now, Sammy.” Her smile came back and remained a few moments. When it faded, she asked, “Where’s Greg? Is he all right?”

“He’ll be here soon. You know how long it takes for him to get here from his job.”

“Yes, too long. I’d like to see him move on. He’s such an amazing man. He doesn’t deserve to have to go through this.” A tear made its way down her cheek, ignored.

“No, he doesn’t. But I’m sure he wouldn’t have it any other way.” He leant down and pressed his lips to her forehead. “He’s going to be fine. I’ll do all I can to get him over the worst of what’s going to happen.” Sammy knew Jean had accepted her fate—after she’d got through blaming the doctors, her parents for the genes they‘d given her and the disbelief that this could actually be happening to her. There had to be some catastrophic mistake, didn’t there? She’d moved on to anger at the world, and the cruelty of whatever gods she believed in. Finally came acceptance. She really was going to die, like everyone else. But she would die a little sooner and have a better idea of the timeline.

“You’ll make sure he doesn’t dwell too long on what’s happened to me, won’t you, Sammy?”

“I’ll do my best, Jean.” Sammy rose and took the glass she’d emptied into the bathroom, where he refilled it. When he returned, he sat down and offered it to her again.

Dr. Susana Mayer is a sex educator/consultant who often encourages her clients to read erotica to develop a better sex life. The Erotic Literary Salon – Live developed out of her sexuality research. Now she is creating the Salon in digital form. Using the template of the Salon event, the author is offering pieces with a wide range of intensities, variety of styles, and individual author’s backstories, never before presented in one anthology. If accepted, your work will be part of this unparalleled collection of sensexuala.
Another unique feature of this book will be the comment section, located at the Salon’s website. The reader will have the opportunity to share their views on the various works presented in the anthology, creating a community of erotica enthusiasts, similar to some of the Salon events.
SenSexual is seeking submissions of written erotica, both fictional and non-fictional, including:

Samples of erotica read at the Salon can be found on the website, http://theEroticliterarysalon.com The anthology is intended both to titillate and to educate, helping readers to normalize their feelings regarding a variety of sexual acts and behaviors. The primary audience for this book will be heterosexual couples and individuals. Pieces incorporating a variety of sexual experiences, behaviors (e.g. creative and unusual positions, scenarios) and combinations of genders and sexual orientations are welcome. I realize that scat, bestiality, and incest might be part of some personal entries, however for this particular publication they will not be acceptable material. All characters must be 18 years or older.

Acceptance of any submissions are wholly within the sole discretion of the Erotic Literary Salon Press. It may incorporate considerations including, but not limited to, literary quality, balance and variety.

We require exclusive electronic and print rights, but can negotiate if the story has been published in an anthology or collection.

Charun stopped beside her on the left, holding out a claw-tipped hand. He was in his demon form, looking massive and imposing. “Are you all right? The Onckle demon didn’t hit you, did it?”

She finished his sentence. “The Ns. And you said this is an Onckle demon? The damned thing looks like a spider from a druggie’s nightmare. Somebody had to be on something to even think that one up.”
She shot off a couple of her best magic shots at the beast. The first one missed, sizzling by it, but the second one sent it spinning back against a telephone pole that cracked under the impact. The demon roared in pain and lumbered back onto all ten of its clawed feet.
“What does this demon do, besides having magic, of course?”
“Well, it has this spit that, if it gets onto you, will dissolve the flesh from your bones.”
“Great. That means I have to avoid its nasty spit besides the magic, too.”
Both Tina and her Familiar lover stood side-by-side as the Onckle demon stomped all ten feet, then scurried at them. It roared, putting out all eight arms. Suddenly, it halted and launched a greenish discharge from its maw at them.
Charun shoved Tina to the side. He charged the other fiend, swinging to his right to avoid the stuff, but it didn’t matter as the stuff slammed into him and covered him.
The muck did not feel good.
“Charun!” screamed Tina as she leaped to her feet.
The goop glowed and burned off, revealing that Charun was all right. He slashed at the other demon with his claws as he kicked his right foot into the demon’s kneecaps of its first four legs. The Onckle’s knees buckled and it landed on its belly, all of its legs splayed out. Both Charun and Tina combined their magic and made it into a glowing rope that tied up all of the monster’s arms and legs. Tina muttered something under her breath and the Onckle demon vanished on a cry of rage.
Not caring that his visage looked terrifying, Tina ran to Charun and kissed him. Then she slapped him across the face. “Don’t you dare scare me like that again!”
He raised a brow. “Did I scare you?” He grinned, showing a mouthful of dagger-like fangs. “You do care.”
“Stupid Familiar, like you didn’t know that already.”
Charun shifted back to his human shape. He wore a grin and nothing else. Tina swung her gaze to his obvious arousal. It saluted her in a very big way. It always did after a fight.
She hissed, ‘Not here!”
His grin grew wider. “Come on, Tina baby, think of how it would spice up the sex, if someone might catch us in the act. Especially when one of the lovers doesn’t look human at all.”

Bella’s eyes widened slightly. He didn’t believe her innocence. Lucerne’s chin grew more pointed as he clenched his teeth.

“What do you want?” Vaughan asked. Some manner of truce or permission to spend time alone without me, he imagined. Though heaven knows why they were troubling him with it. They could have spent the entire day tupping and he wouldn’t have known.

“You,” they replied in unison.

The words sent a jolt through his chest. His heart sped a little even as he continued to gaze on them in wary silence.

“Spend the night—”

“—and the day with us, Vaughan.”

“Tell us what to do.”

“How to please you.”

This was wrong in so many ways. He thought he preferred it when they were begrudging his presence and branding him some sort of demon for not allowing them any space in which to grow together. This smacked too much of deceit. They were trying to get him to lower his guard before attacking. Leastways, he believed that of Bella. He wasn’t nearly so sure about Lucerne.

“Do you expect me to believe that’s what you both actually want? Me? Together?”

“It’s the truth, Vaughan,” Lucerne replied, while Bella dipped him a curtsey. He supposed he was vaguely willing to believe it, although there was definitely some purpose behind it beyond affection or lust.

“What are you reading?” Bella picked up his book before he had a chance to put a hand down on top of it. Her mouth fell open in surprise, one that quickly transformed into delight at the illustration revealed. “Lord Pennerley, what sort of book is that to be perusing in broad daylight?”

“A perfectly filthy one, I should imagine if your expression is anything to go by.” Lucerne sidled up behind her. Hands resting lightly, yet possessively upon Bella’s shoulders, he leaned forward to glimpse the image so that his blond hair flopped over his eyes, partially hiding the delight that flickered there.

Vaughan’s lips thinned in bemused silence. If they imagined they’d embarrass him, then they were sadly mistaken. He had no qualms about his sexuality, or what he liked. It was simply a shame the rest of society wasn’t so open. “Maybe we should try it,” he suggested. If they were so keen on gaining his attention and pleasing him, then they’d best be prepared to indulge some of his kinks.

Bella’s head came up immediately, an unvoiced gasp upon her lips. Lips he’d kissed so hard that they were still rather ruddy and certainly a little tender even now.

Lucerne fixed him with an uneasy frown. He took a stiff pace backwards, suddenly defensive. “Who exactly do you envisage being in the middle?”

Vaughan laughed. “Not so game for my affection now, Lucerne? You disappoint me. I thought you were more open than that.”

Defensively, Lucerne poured his tall frame into one of the library’s narrow wingback chairs, where he folded his arms across his lap. “Open is one thing. I am however no acrobat. I don’t think I could hold that position for more than forty seconds, let alone sustain it with a cock in my mouth, breasts enveloping me and a lit candle anywhere near my arse.”

A bright image of peeling creamy blobs of hardened candlewax from off Lucerne’s belly, his buttocks and groin, played inside Vaughan’s head. Had he never punished him so? The thought of introducing Lucerne to such delights enchanted him. Lucerne would protest, claiming pain didn’t excite him, but the truth was it aroused him far more than he cared to admit.

Besides, denial of any kind had always acted like a drug upon Vaughan. “Another time, perhaps,” he muttered. “What about you, Bella?”

Bella rubbed at her cheeks, which had turned a gaudy shade of scarlet at the mere suggestion. Her reply rolled out of her unevenly. “The person at the centre is clearly a man, which I am certainly not. So I couldn’t possibly take such a position, even if it were in the bounds of possibility to do so. Are there not any more sensible arrangements in this tome of yours?” She flicked over several pages, her eyes growing rounder and hungrier over each successive image. “What is this?” she demanded.

Vaughan retrieved the book with its leather unmarked binding from her and returned it to shelf behind a locked glass door. “It’s privately published, circulated only to a select few connoisseurs.” On another occasion he might allow her to study it further. For now, he preferred to preserve its secrets in favour of more mundane pleasures. “About your proposition—I would suggest that we find somewhere more comfortable, but I do find that discomfort can be equally, if not more satisfying, can it not, Lucerne?”

“I wouldn’t know.”

“Oh, you know, Lucerne. You know exactly how much you like to be made to squirm.” Lucerne shook his head. “I think you’re mistaking me with Bella. What I like is straightforward. It’s less about dominance and more about enjoyment.”

“Are you saying you don’t like what I do to you?” Vaughan sallied forwards, stopping when his knees were level with Lucerne’s and a mere fraction of an inch divided them. He braced his hands on the arms of the chair and leaned over Lucerne, so that their eyes met on a level. Their gazes locked.

“Haven’t you punished me enough?”

“I’ll never punish you enough. It stokes the fires in the very pit of my soul to see you writhing in ecstasy beneath me.”

“That’s not what we came here for.”

Vaughan turned his head at the same time as Lucerne to glance at Bella.

“Can’t we really be together for once, Vaughan? I mean really together. Without the posturing and pettiness. Won’t you lie down and let us make love to you—together?”

“No.”

“Why not?”

“You know why. It can never be.” He would never lower his guard and let them both press close to him at once. Alone they tested him, shredded all his restraints, which left him feeling exposed and vulnerable. Together they would flay him, expose every particle of his being right down to the core. He would never risk it. Could never risk it? Besides, it would upset the balance of the relationship. Lucerne had to remain central. He was the pivot; all this revolved around him. “You know I think I might go to Darleston House alone.”

“No, don’t.” Bella stepped forward. She lay a hand upon his chest. It was not enough to prevent him moving; it was barely any sort of pressure at all. Still he remained frozen, watching her, waiting as she slowly moistened her pink lips. “Lucerne is right. It doesn’t always have to be hard between us. It hasn’t always been so. Don’t you remember the first time? I remember how you both moved inside of me. How we were all one and in perfect agreement. Will you not join us all together again like that?”

Let her be central. Let her be the pivot. That was what she was asking. Nay, pleading. He saw it in her eyes. She didn’t want to be on the outskirts of their relationship looking in. She wanted to be loved by both of them in equal measure. In short, she desired everything to be about her, rather than about Lucerne, whom both she and he loved.<

Bella’s hand left his chest and pushed upwards into the dark strands of his hair. On tip-toes she leaned into him, offering herself up to him. Vaughan allowed her to graze his lips with a kiss. He caged the growl in his throat, not for her, but because Lucerne was watching his every nuance.

“For me,” Lucerne mouthed.

At what price? Vaughan didn’t speak. The communication between them passed in silence.

I’ll give you everything you desire, later. All you have to do is go along with this now, for me and for her.

The stubborn, prideful part of him wanted to disagree. It wasn’t that he didn’t desire Bella. He did. Admission of desire was not something he had any reservations about. He simply didn’t like the implied subtext of taking part. Just because they came together as a threesome, didn’t…wouldn’t make them whole. But if Bella, nay Lucerne wanted to believe that it did, then he would let them have their fantasy—at least for a little while.

”William,” Vaughan hollered. The footman immediately appeared from the hallway. “Make sure that no one comes in. We’ll be busy for a little while.”
